9/1 – 9:38 AM | Zone 9 – Napoli Way

BIS received a call from a member reporting a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the member's driveway for an extended period. The vehicle was described as a smaller black sedan with unknown plates. The driver drove off when the member approached. The member requested increased patrols in the area, which BIS was happy to accommodate. A BIS Officer also responded to attempt to locate the vehicle. No other calls regarding this sedan or driver were received. The Officer patrolled throughout Zones 9 and 10 for the remainder of the day but was unable to locate a vehicle matching the description. The initial call was cleared at 10:35 AM. Incident logged for future reference and information sharing with all BIS Officers.

9/2 – 9:28 PM | Zone 8 – Marland Road

A BIS member reported a suspicious individual in their front yard shining a flashlight into the residence windows. When the individual realized they were being observed, they fled toward Marland Road. A BIS Officer arrived at 9:33 PM and observed no suspicious vehicles or persons. The member could not provide additional identifying details due to the darkness. The Officer inspected the property exterior and found no signs of attempted entry, damage, or disturbance. The call was cleared at 10:11 PM. The Officer monitored the residence and surrounding area the rest of the night without further incident. Information was logged for future reference and officer awareness.

9/5 – 12:30 PM | Zone 1 – Mesa Avenue

A BIS member reported that a vehicle had struck their trash can and left at high speed earlier that morning. At approximately 10:30 AM, a BIS Officer at the BIS Office—near the member’s residence—heard a loud crashing sound on Mesa Avenue. The Officer stepped outside and observed a white SUV (possibly a Lexus) speeding eastbound. The Officer could not capture the license plate and did not witness the impact itself, so the cause of the crashing sound could not be confirmed. The Officer provided the member with information on how to file an online crash report with CSPD, which is the recommended procedure for such incidents.
