8/4 – 5:28 PM | Zone 9 – Old Stage Road

BIS received a call from a BIS member regarding a white BMW speeding and driving recklessly up and down the street. The BIS Officer could hear a vehicle engine accelerating in the background while on the phone with the member. The Officer arrived at 5:36 PM but was unable to locate any vehicle matching the description. The Officer parked for several minutes near the community mailboxes on Old Stage Road to watch and listen, but no vehicles were detected. No further calls were received regarding reckless driving in the area. Call cleared at 5:52 PM.

 

8/4 – 7:38 PM | Zone 9 – Marland Road South

BIS Officer received a call from a guest of a BIS member who discovered that the back door of the residence appeared damaged, as if someone had attempted to kick it open. The guest requested an interior check. The Officer arrived at 7:44 PM, completed a full search of the home, and found no one inside. Nothing appeared disturbed or missing, and there was no evidence of entry. The guest will file a report with CSPD. Call cleared at 8:23 PM.

 

8/5 – 7:46 PM | Zone 2 – Polo Drive

BIS received a call from a member away from home about two WM’s, mid-20s to 30s, wearing baseball caps and acting suspiciously on camera. One male wore a black shirt; the other, a zippered/collared jacket. They rang the doorbell, looked into windows, and possibly tried the door. The Officer arrived at 7:52 PM, checked the perimeter, and found no damage or forced entry. Nearby streets were searched but no match was found. Suspect information logged and shared with BIS Officers. Call cleared at 7:59 PM.

 

8/6 – 10:40 AM | Zone 3 – Bear Paw Lane

BIS received a call and video footage from a member out of town showing two individuals on the property between 12:30–12:38 AM that morning, trying door handles.

  • Suspect #1: WM, mid-20s, dark blue hoodie, black pants, black/white striped shoes, black/white backpack, black ski mask.

  • Suspect #2: Short, heavier set WF, black pants, black hoodie, glasses, brown hair in pigtails, white gloves, face partially covered with cloth mask.

No entry was made. BIS recommended sending footage to CSPD and began extra patrols. Information and videos shared with BIS Officers.

 

8/6 – 10:52 PM | Zone 1 – First Street

Member reported juveniles ringing the doorbell and running away. Officer arrived at 10:55 PM, reviewed video showing a WM, late teens/early 20s, brown hair, thin build, approaching the porch, ringing the bell, and running back to a waiting vehicle. No damage observed. Call cleared at 11:00 PM when a second similar report came in.

 

8/6 – 10:54 PM | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Ave

BIS member reported someone ringing the doorbell and running away. Officer arrived at 11:02 PM, searched for a WM and vehicle matching the First Street incident. Officer located a newer white Chevy pickup driven by a WM matching the description. Upon spotting the patrol vehicle, the driver sped away. No plate obtained. The vehicle was last seen eastbound on Lake Ave. Officer monitored the area for the rest of the night with no further contact.

8/9 – 2:04 PM | Zone 1 – La Paloma Way

Member reported two suspicious WM’s sitting on the curb at La Paloma Way and Cresta Road.

  • Male 1: Black shorts, white shirt.

  • Male 2: Tan clothing, red/white backpack.

Officer arrived at 2:14 PM, searched nearby streets and the elementary school area but found no match. Area was checked throughout the day with no further sightings.

 

8/10 – 1:40 AM | Zone 2 – Elm Avenue

While patrolling, Officer observed a white, newer Jeep Wrangler (CO plates) parked west of Gentry Lane with both driver-side doors open. A male with black hair and mustache stood outside the rear door, and a female with black hair was in the cargo area. Both had heavy European accents. The male stated they were organizing belongings, though only a case of water was visible. No suspicious behavior noted. Scene cleared at 1:54 AM. Vehicle was gone upon recheck ten minutes later.
