6/1…Routine patrols completed – no reportable incidents.


6/2 – 11:11 pm | Zone 1 – Mesa Ave

The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting that the member's dogs were barking and suspicious noises could be heard in the backyard. The Officer arrived at the residence at 11:18 pm but did not observe any suspicious vehicles or individuals in the area. Nothing appeared unusual or disturbed. The BIS Officer offered to check the backyard and exterior of the residence, but the member declined. The Officer checked the surrounding area further but did not detect any suspicious activity. The Officer then contacted the member's voicemail and left a message regarding his findings. The Officer cleared the call at 11:23 pm but continued to monitor the area for the remainder of his shift.


6/2 – 11:30 pm | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Ave

While patrolling the area, a BIS Officer observed an open garage door at a member's residence. Nothing appeared disturbed inside the garage, and no one was seen in the area. Contact was made with the member, who closed the garage door. The Officer cleared the call at 11:35 pm.


6/3 – 10:46 pm | Zone 10 – Alta Vista Road

The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious thud and pounding noise outside the member's residence. The Officer immediately responded and arrived at 10:49 pm. The Officer completed a full search of the exterior of the residence. No one and nothing suspicious were observed. All doors and windows were secure and undamaged, and no signs of attempted entry were noted. Nothing appeared out of place. No suspicious vehicles or individuals were seen in the area. The member was contacted and advised that the residence was secure. The Officer cleared the call at 11:02 pm but continued to monitor the area for the remainder of the night.


6/3 – 11:16 pm | Zone 8 – Northgate Road

The BIS Officer received a call from a member who was away from home regarding a motion detection alarm activation in the kitchen area of the residence. The Officer arrived at 11:18 pm and noted that the alarm was not audible. A complete perimeter check revealed that all doors and windows were intact and secure, with no signs of attempted entry. Nothing appeared disturbed or damaged inside the residence. The member was contacted and advised that the home was secure. The Officer cleared the call at 11:28 pm.


6/4 – 8:06 pm | Zone 7 – Briarwood Place

The BIS Officer received a call from ADT Alarm Company regarding an alarm activation related to kitchen glass breakage. The Officer immediately responded and arrived at 8:09 pm. As the Officer began checking the residence, the member arrived and completed an interior check of the residence with the Officer. All appeared secure and undisturbed. No signs of criminal activity were observed. The Officer cleared the call at 8:54 pm.


6/5 – 2:35 pm | Zone 8 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd/Mirada Road

The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding dirt bikes or motorcycles driving recklessly in the area. No further description of the motorcycles or riders could be provided. The Officer arrived in the area at 2:50 pm and checked several surrounding streets. No motorcycles were observed or heard in the area. No additional calls regarding the reckless driving complaint were received by BIS. The Officer cleared the call at 2:55 pm.


6/5 – 4:54 pm | Zone 6 – Edinburgh Court

The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious person observed on the member's doorbell camera. The individual was described as a white male wearing a blue shirt or jacket. No further description could be provided. The Officer arrived in the area at approximately 5:00 pm and began checking the surrounding streets for the individual. The Officer then arrived at the member's residence at 5:20 pm. The suspicious individual was not located. The Officer monitored the area for the remainder of the shift and logged the information and description for future reference and sharing with all BIS Officers. The Officer cleared the call at 5:21 pm.


6/6 – 1:49 am | Zone 6 – Childe Drive

While patrolling the area, the BIS Officer found the front door of a member's residence partially open. No pry marks or other signs of forced entry were observed. The member, who was out of town, was contacted through the doorbell camera and verified that no one was authorized to be inside the residence. The Officer entered the home after making several announcements identifying his presence. A complete check of the interior and exterior of the residence was conducted. No one was found inside, and nothing appeared disturbed or damaged. All other doors and windows remained secure. The Officer locked the front door before leaving and, as requested, sent the homeowner a text message. The Officer cleared the scene at 2:04 am.


6/6 – 10:02 pm | Zone 8 – Crossland Road

The BIS Officer received a call from Homerun Electronics regarding an audible alarm activation involving the main garage door at a member's residence. The Officer arrived at 10:07 pm and noted that the alarm was not audible. Upon arrival, the Officer did not observe any suspicious vehicles or individuals in the area. During a complete perimeter check of the residence, the Officer discovered an unlocked but closed rear door. No signs of forced entry were observed, and all other doors and windows were locked and secure. As the BIS Officer was preparing to conduct an interior check, two CSPD officers arrived at 10:22 pm. The homeowner was contacted and advised of the unlocked door and confirmed that no one should have been inside the residence. The CSPD officers conducted the interior check while the BIS Officer maintained perimeter security. CSPD reported that no one was found inside and that nothing had been disturbed. The BIS Officer secured and locked the rear door, contacted the homeowner to advise that the residence was secure, and the member remotely re-armed the alarm system. The BIS and CSPD officers cleared the call at 10:49 pm.
