The Officer contacted the male, who did not appear to be impaired or in need of assistance. The male acknowledged having no connection to the business and was asked to leave the private property. Although he became agitated, he departed without further incident. The Officer cleared the scene at 10:40pm.

10/7 - 9:41am | Zone 9 - Old Stage Rd
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a semi-truck and trailer that had become stuck on Old Stage Road near the member's residence, obstructing traffic. Because the location was outside city limits and BIS jurisdiction, the Officer notified the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The member also reported a suspicious white van that had been parked near the community mailboxes on Old Stage Road for several days. The Officer contacted CSPD and learned that several reports concerning the possibly abandoned vehicle had already been submitted through the GoCOS app.
The BIS Officer responded to monitor the area and observed several marked Sheriff's Office and CSPD vehicles responding. The semi-truck was subsequently observed traveling eastbound on Old Stage Road.
The Officer also inspected and documented the white van, noting litter scattered around the vehicle. BIS Officers would continue monitoring the vehicle pending CSPD's handling of the abandoned vehicle complaint. The Officer cleared the area at 10:40am.
10/8 - 9:43am | Zone 9 - Old Stage Rd
A BIS Officer again contacted CSPD regarding the suspicious white van that remained parked near the community mailboxes on Old Stage Road. The CSPD call taker advised that an officer would respond when available.
During a subsequent patrol at 1:32pm, the BIS Officer checked the van and confirmed it was unoccupied. Several citations and tow notices had been placed on the vehicle's windows by CSPD.
BIS Officers continued monitoring the vehicle during subsequent shifts. On October 10, the day-shift Officer confirmed that the van had been removed from the area.
10/8 - 9:42pm | Zone 1 - First St
The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a front-door alarm activation at the member's residence while the homeowner was away.
The Officer arrived at 9:45pm and observed no suspicious individuals or vehicles in the area. The alarm was not audible upon arrival. A thorough exterior inspection confirmed that all doors and windows were locked, intact, and secure, with no evidence of attempted entry or other suspicious activity.
The Officer contacted the homeowner and confirmed that the residence was secure. The member remotely reset the alarm, and the Officer cleared the call at 9:50pm.
10/9 - 2:30pm | Zone 6 - Star Ranch Rd
While patrolling the area, a BIS Officer observed a white male in his late 20s with brown hair lying on a blue blanket behind a member's business. The male, who appeared to be homeless, was wearing pajamas and flip-flops.
The Officer contacted the individual and advised him that sleeping on the private property was prohibited. The male complied and departed without incident. The Officer cleared the scene at 2:33pm.
10/9 - 6:40pm | Zone 9 - Old Stage Rd
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting that an unknown male had entered the member's property and approached the homeowner and guests gathered behind the residence.
The individual was described as a white male, approximately 5'8" tall, with black hair, wearing a black hoodie, maroon shorts, and silver-and-black New Balance athletic shoes. The male reportedly yelled at the group to "stop playing that Russian music" and claimed to own the property.
The member reported that the individual appeared possibly impaired or under the influence of an unknown substance. The male was last observed falling to the ground and lying near a tree adjacent to the residence. The member had also contacted CSPD.
Upon arrival, the BIS Officer reviewed photographs and video footage of the individual provided by the member. The Officer conducted an extensive search of the surrounding wooded area but was unable to locate the male.
The Officer advised the member of the unsuccessful search and instructed the homeowner to contact BIS and CSPD immediately if the individual returned. CSPD had not arrived when the BIS Officer cleared the call at 8:15pm.
