9/21 – 6:39 pm | Zone 5 – Loma Linda Drive

A BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding two suspicious males going door-to-door, possibly soliciting an unknown product or service. One male was described as short, wearing a white T-shirt and baseball cap. No additional description was provided.

The Officer responded and arrived at 6:47 pm, checking several streets in the surrounding area. The Officer was unable to locate either individual, and no additional calls were received regarding the two males. The Officer contacted the reporting member and advised that the individuals no longer appeared to be in the area.

The information was logged for future reference and shared with BIS Officers. The Officer cleared the call at 6:58 pm.

9/22 – 5:44 pm | Zone 6 – Salisbury Court

The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a suspicious vehicle that had been parked on the street near the member's residence for nearly 24 hours. The vehicle was unknown to the member and did not appear to belong in the area. The member provided the Officer with a photograph and requested that BIS check the vehicle during the shift.

While patrolling the area, the Officer located a light blue, four-door Buick sedan with Colorado license plates parked at the reported location. The vehicle was unoccupied and legally parked on the city street. The Officer observed that the driver's-side rear window appeared to have been broken out and the opening was covered with plastic. The interior of the vehicle also contained a significant amount of trash.

The Officer checked the surrounding area but was unable to locate anyone associated with the vehicle. Nothing else unusual was observed. The Officer cleared the scene at 6:40 pm and recorded the vehicle information for follow-up by the night-shift Officer.

The night-shift Officer checked the vehicle several times during the shift and reported that it had left the area at approximately 2:30 am.

9/23 – 9:44 pm | Zone 2 – Polo Pony Drive

A BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a dog that had reportedly been barking loudly for approximately two hours in the vicinity of the member's residence.

The Officer responded and arrived in the area at 9:50 pm. The Officer parked and turned off the patrol vehicle for approximately ten minutes in an attempt to determine the location of the barking. No dog could be heard during that time.

The Officer contacted the reporting member and advised that he was unable to hear or locate a barking dog but asked the member to call BIS again if the barking resumed. Nothing unusual was observed, and no suspicious persons were seen in the area. The Officer cleared the call at 10:05 pm.

9/24 | Routine patrols completed – no reportable incidents.

9/25 – 4:10 am | Zone 9 – Hermitage Drive

While patrolling the area, a BIS Officer heard an audible alarm and investigated to determine its location and cause. The Officer located a vehicle in a nearby member's driveway with its alarm activated.

The vehicle did not appear to have been damaged, and there was no indication of an attempted unauthorized entry. No suspicious persons were observed in the area.

The Officer contacted the member/vehicle owner at the residence. It was determined that the alarm had been triggered by a low battery in the vehicle's key fob. The member deactivated the alarm, and the Officer cleared the call at 4:21 am.

9/26 – 3:45 pm | Zone 10 – Plainview Road

A BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding two suspicious males walking near the member's residence. The individuals were carrying backpacks and wearing what appeared to be hiking attire, including boots. No additional descriptions were available. The two males were last seen walking west on Plainview Road toward the open space area.

The Officer arrived at 3:55 pm and checked surrounding streets in an attempt to locate the individuals. The Officer was unable to locate anyone matching the descriptions and observed nothing else unusual in the area. No additional calls were received regarding the two males.

The Officer cleared the call at 4:00 pm but continued to monitor the area during subsequent patrols. The incident was logged for future reference and information sharing with other BIS Officers.
