6/10 – 6:21 pm | Zone 6 – Edinburgh Court
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a woman who appeared to be lost and was observed on the member’s security camera standing in the driveway. No description was available. A neighbor had also contacted the member through the doorbell camera system and advised that the woman was now at a residence on Stonehaven Drive. The BIS Officer arrived at 6:32 pm and was flagged down by a resident, who advised that the woman’s husband had been located and she had safely returned home. The Officer spoke with the husband, confirmed the woman was safe, and cleared the call at 7:02 pm.
6/11 – 3:40 am | Zone 6 – Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard
While patrolling the area, the BIS Officer observed a newer white Chevrolet Malibu with unknown license plates parked outside a closed business. The Officer contacted a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s with black hair and a mustache, who was observed getting dressed in the front seat. A white female of similar age was located in the back seat under a blanket. Both individuals appeared embarrassed and stated they had been downtown at Cowboys. They were advised to leave the property and complied. The Officer cleared the contact at 3:45 am.
6/11 – 1:30 pm | Zone 6 – Shoreham Circle
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near the residence. The vehicle was described as a blue-gray sedan displaying what appeared to be two different license plates. The Officer arrived at 1:36 pm; however, the vehicle was no longer present. Several surrounding streets were checked, but the vehicle was not located. No unusual activity was observed in the area. The reporting member was contacted with the findings, and the Officer cleared the call at 1:56 pm.
6/12 – 12:45 pm | Zone 6 – Broadmoor Valley Road
The BIS Officer responded to a residential alarm call. No information was provided regarding the specific alarm location within the residence. The Officer arrived at 1:00 pm and conducted an exterior check of the property. All doors and windows were secure, and there were no signs of attempted forced entry. A white Subaru with Colorado license plates was parked in the driveway. Nothing unusual was observed. Attempts were made to contact the homeowners. The Officer cleared the call at 1:06 pm.
6/12 – 9:13 pm | Zone 8 – Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard and Marland Road
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near the traffic island for approximately one hour. The vehicle was described as a gray Ford Mustang GT with Colorado license plates occupied by a male who was observed using his cell phone. Due to two higher-priority member calls, the Officer arrived at 9:42 pm. The vehicle was no longer present upon arrival. Several surrounding streets were checked, but no suspicious vehicles were located. No unusual activity was observed, and no additional calls were received regarding the vehicle. The reporting member was contacted and advised of the findings. The Officer cleared the call at 10:00 pm.
6/13 – 1:09 am | Zone 1 – South Cheyenne Canyon Road
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding loud music believed to be coming from west of Evans Avenue. The Officer arrived at 1:21 am and was able to hear the music. The source was located on South Cheyenne Canyon Road, where the Officer contacted two Hispanic males and approximately four to five Hispanic females, all appearing to be in their mid-20s, gathered near a black Dodge pickup truck. The vehicle’s rear license plate could not be observed because the tailgate was down. The group was cooperative and immediately turned the music down when requested. The reporting member was contacted and advised of the Officer’s findings. The Officer cleared the call at 1:33 am.
6/13 – 9:33 pm | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Avenue
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious red sedan parked in front of the residence for approximately 15 minutes with no lights on. The Officer arrived at 9:37 pm and contacted a white female driver and a white male passenger, both appearing to be in their mid-20s, seated in a red Subaru Outback with Colorado license plates. The driver advised they had attended a nearby wedding reception and had stopped because her brother refused to wear a seatbelt. She stated that her brother then took the vehicle keys and ran off in an unknown direction. The Officer remained on scene until the driver’s mother arrived at 9:47 pm with a spare set of keys. The driver then departed the area. The reporting member was contacted and advised of the circumstances. The Officer cleared the call at 9:50 pm.
6/14 – 7:20 pm | Zone 8 – Pourtales Road
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding an abandoned vehicle parked on the street in front of the residence. The member reported that the vehicle had been left there on Friday afternoon at approximately 4:00 pm. The member observed a white Subaru occupied by a Hispanic female who appeared to be sleeping inside the vehicle. The female was described as wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt and having tattoos on her arms. A short time later, she was seen placing items from the vehicle into a black backpack and walking east on Pourtales Road toward Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard. The Officer arrived at 7:49 pm and located a newer-model Subaru Impreza displaying Colorado license plates valid through July 2026. The vehicle had no flat tires or visible damage. Numerous used food containers, drink cups, and articles of clothing were visible inside. Photographs were taken, and an abandoned vehicle report was submitted through the City of Colorado Springs reporting application. The vehicle was not obstructing traffic or blocking any driveways. The Officer cleared the call at 8:05 pm.
