8/20 – 3:20 PM | Zone 3 – Bear Paw Lane North
Received a call from alarm company regarding a burglar alarm at a BIS member’s residence. The alarm was activated from the front door or window. A BIS officer arrived on scene at 3:25 PM and discovered the homeowner’s brother was present on the property. The member’s brother had not entered the alarm code quickly enough. Nothing unusual was observed in the area. Officer cleared the call at 3:35 PM.
8/21 – 12:55 PM | Zone 1 – Scott Street
Received a call from a non-member reporting a suspicious white male in his 30s, heavy build, wearing shorts and a t-shirt, sitting in bushes with a small or “sort” bicycle. A BIS officer arrived at 1:10 PM and contacted the subject at Cheyenne Road and Stratton Avenue. Description: approximately 5’8”, 175–180 lbs., brown hair, wearing grey shorts and a black t-shirt, riding a blue BMX-style bicycle. The male stated he was out for a bike ride and stopped in the shade by the creek. He was pleasant and displayed no suspicious behavior. The officer cleared the contact at 1:15 PM.
8/22 – 2:45 AM | Zone 1 – First Street
While patrolling, a BIS officer observed that the sliding glass door at a member’s residence was shattered (safety glass) but intact. The point of impact was low to the ground, inside a walled patio area. No entry was made. While inspecting the exterior, the officer also found storage shed doors unlocked, but with no signs of forced entry. Nothing appeared disturbed or damaged, and no individuals or vehicles were observed in the area. The homeowners were notified of the damage. Officer cleared the scene at 2:58 AM.
