7/22 – 1:20 AM – Zone 7 – Broadmoor Avenue
During patrol, a BIS Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked on school grounds that had not been there during a previous patrol. The vehicle was a dark-colored Subaru sedan with its headlights on. The BIS Officer approached and made contact with an Asian female in her 20s–30s with black hair seated in the driver’s seat. She stated she was an Uber/Lyft driver waiting for ride requests. The Officer informed her that she was on private property and would need to leave. The driver complied without issue. The Officer cleared the scene at 1:25 AM.

7/26 – 2:48 AM – Zone 8 – Marland Road
While patrolling the area, a BIS Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked along a fence line with its interior dome light on. The vehicle was a newer-model blue four-door KIA sedan with Colorado plates and was occupied by two white males in their mid-20s. As the BIS patrol vehicle pulled in behind the KIA, the suspicious vehicle immediately started and pulled away, then circled back around and stopped behind the BIS vehicle. The Officer initiated contact and was informed by the passenger that he lived nearby and that he and the driver were simply catching up, as they had not seen each other in a while. Nothing unusual was observed in the area. The Officer cleared the scene at 2:55 AM.
7/26 – 7:45 AM – Zone 10 – Penrose Blvd – Possible Criminal Mischief / Property Damage
BIS received an email from a member, including photos, reporting that a window at the front of the member’s residence had been damaged overnight by an unknown object or projectile. No object that could have caused the damage was found nearby. The member reviewed footage from their home security cameras, but nothing suspicious was observed. No other reports of similar damage were received by BIS from members in the area.
