6/25…9:00 pm…Zone 4…Sycamore Street: BIS received a voicemail on the office telephone from a non-member regarding a brown and tan van with no plates, parked on the city street. This same vehicle was reported twice by members in the past week, in two different locations. In all cases, information was passed on to CSPD.

Special Note: BIS is limited in what can be done to address abandoned, illegally parked or unregistered vehicles found in the 80906 area. Enforcement and removal of these types of vehicles is the jurisdiction of the Police Department. BIS reports these vehicles to CSPD pursuant to their guidelines.   To report an abandoned vehicle in Colorado Springs, you can use the GOCOS app, call 719-444-7891, or visit https:// coloradosprings.gov/neighborhoodservices.

6/25…9:40 pm…Zone 2…Red Wing Terrace: BIS Officer received a report from a member about a suspicious vehicle that had been parked with the engine running for a long time. The vehicle was described as a dark colored SUV with an unknown number of occupants. As the BIS officer arrived at 9:45 pm, the SUV was observed leaving the street. The BIS Officer could not see the license plate but noted that the vehicle was driven by a WF, in her mid-20’s. Nothing unusual was observed. The Officer remained in the area for several minutes to see if the vehicle might return. The Officer then checked several streets, and the vehicle was not located again. The reporting member was called back by the Officer and informed the member the vehicle had left the area. The officer cleared the call at 9:53 pm.

6/26…12:35 pm…Zone 3…Bear Paw Lane: BIS received a call from a member regarding a burglary at a residence that occurred sometime after May 5th. The BIS Officer responded and arrived at 12:40 pm. The residence had not been lived in since April. Entry by the burglars was made by removing a sliding glass door on the backside of the house. Several items were taken from the house as well as three vehicles. A neighbor had video footage from their camera system showing one vehicle being driven away on June 17th and another vehicle being driven into the garage on June 22nd at about 5:05 pm and then leaving the property at about 5:15 pm. The video was not clear enough to see any individuals in the vehicles. CSPD was notified by the homeowner at the request of BIS. BIS Officer cleared at 1:55 pm.

6/27…3:06 am…Zone 1…Mesa Ave: While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked on a member's residential private property. The vehicle was a white 4 door Mercedes sedan with Colorado temp tags. The vehicle was occupied by a driver observed to be a WM in his 30s, slender build, short brown hair with a silver nose ring. The Officer also observed a WF in the passenger seat. The male driver was informed he was parked on private property. The vehicle left the property immediately with no problem after the BIS officer was seen approaching the vehicle. The BIS Officer inspected the property and nothing unusual was observed to be amiss.
