5/19 – 9:53 AM | Zone 7 – Lake Ave
Upon returning to the BIS office from patrol, the on-duty Officer retrieved an email from a BIS member regarding a possible abandoned vehicle parked on the street in front of the member’s residence. No vehicle description was provided. The Officer responded and arrived at 10:11 AM but was unable to locate any vehicles parked near the member’s address. Several nearby streets were also checked; however, nothing unusual was observed and no potentially abandoned vehicles were located. BIS received no additional calls regarding the vehicle. The Officer noted that a construction project was underway near the reported sighting and the vehicle may have belonged to a construction worker who moved it prior to the Officer’s arrival. The Officer cleared the call at 10:17 AM to respond to an alarm activation at another member’s residence.
5/19 – 10:17 AM | Zone 2 – Polo Drive
The on-duty Officer received a call from a BIS member, who was away from home, reporting that an audible residential alarm had activated at the residence. The Officer immediately responded and arrived at 10:20 AM. No suspicious vehicles or individuals were observed in the area upon arrival. While speaking with the member by telephone, the Officer conducted a complete security check of the residence. No signs of forced entry, property damage, or other suspicious or criminal activity were observed. All doors and windows were found secure. The Officer cleared the call at 10:33 AM.
5/19 – 2:06 PM | Zone 3 – Marland Road South
The on-duty Officer received a call from Homerun Electronics Alarm Company regarding an interior alarm activation at a BIS member’s residence. The Officer responded and arrived at 2:12 PM. Upon arrival, the alarm was no longer audible. The Officer conducted a complete perimeter security check of the residence. No signs of forced entry, property damage, or other suspicious or criminal activity were observed. All doors and windows were intact and secure. 5/21 – 3:40 AM | Zone 2 – Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard
While on patrol, the on-duty Officer observed a blue Honda sedan with Colorado license plates parked on private property at a closed member business. The vehicle was occupied by a BM and HF, both believed to be in their mid-30s. The Officer made contact and determined the occupants did not appear impaired by alcohol or other substances and were not in need of assistance. The Officer advised the couple that the private parking lot was patrolled and intended only for legitimate business-related purposes during operating hours. The occupants were cooperative and departed the property without incident. The Officer cleared the contact at 3:45 AM.
5/22 – Routine patrols completed – no reportable incidents.
5/23 – 5:53 PM | Zone 9 – South Club Drive
After returning to the BIS office, the on-duty Officer retrieved a voicemail that was left on the office phone from a non-member regarding a suspicious male on South Club Drive. The reporting party stated that an older male, who appeared possibly homeless, chemically impaired, or emotionally disturbed, was at the gate harassing the caller. The reporting party further advised that CSPD had also been notified. Knowing that BIS members reside in the area, the Officer responded and arrived at 6:20 PM to patrol the neighborhood and attempt to locate the suspicious male in an effort to discourage any behavior that could negatively impact nearby BIS members. No suspicious vehicles or individuals matching the description were located. BIS received no additional calls regarding the male. It was unknown if or when CSPD responded.
