7/8 – 10:55 am | Zone 10 – Leaming Road
Received a call from a BIS member who was away from home regarding two suspicious individuals who had rung the member's doorbell earlier that day. The member spoke with the individuals through the home's doorbell camera system. The individuals, described as a Black male and a Black female, stated they were attempting to serve a warrant but had lost the legal paperwork. The member reported that both appeared disoriented and left the property after a brief conversation.
The BIS Officer responded and checked the area but was unable to locate the individuals. The member requested extra patrols during both the day and night. No additional calls regarding the two suspicious individuals were received by BIS. Their descriptions were documented and shared with all BIS Officers. Officers conducted extra patrols of the area throughout the day and night in an attempt to locate the individuals and monitor the member's residence. No contact was made.
7/8 – 5:45 pm | Zone 9 – Marland Road South
The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding an alarm activation at a neighboring BIS member's residence. The Officer arrived at 5:54 pm and met with the reporting member and a CSPD Officer who had also responded to investigate the alarm. The homeowner returned home shortly after the arrival of the BIS officer.
The reporting member had discovered an exterior door standing ajar, which may have caused the alarm activation. The BIS Officer, CSPD Officer, and homeowner conducted an interior inspection of the residence. No signs of forced entry or other criminal activity were found, and nothing appeared to be disturbed inside the home. The residence was confirmed to be safe and secure. Officers cleared the call at 6:10 pm.

7/10 – 8:40 pm | Zone 8 – Marland Road
A BIS Officer received a call from a member who observed three suspicious vehicles parked on Marland Road near the traffic island. The member provided detailed descriptions of the vehicles. Two were described as Mazda Miatas, while the third was an unknown vehicle with an unknown license plate. The member reported that the occupants appeared to be photographing homes in the area.
The Officer arrived at 8:46 pm, but the vehicles had already left. Marland Road, Crossland Road, and Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard were checked, but no vehicles or individuals matching the descriptions were located. Nothing unusual was observed. The information was documented for future reference, and the area was monitored for the remainder of the night shift. The reporting member did not request a return call. The Officer cleared the call at 8:58 pm.
