5/17…8:29 pm…Zone 7…Briarwood Place:  Received a call from a BIS member regarding a suspicious white pickup truck with a matching topper parked across the street from their house. The BIS member contacted a female inside the truck and observed what appeared to be a brown and white Pit Bull dog with her in the truck. The female did not make any comment to the member. The BIS officer arrived at 8:34 pm and found a white Toyota Tacoma extended cab pickup truck with CO plates that expire 08/2025. The truck was unoccupied and both windows were open when the Officer checked it. The truck bed was full of work-related items (wood, tools, and parts) and the cab of the truck was full of tools, work boots, etc. The BIS Officer called CSPD and checked for possible stolen status. The truck was clear per the CSPD call taker (not stolen). CSPD advised a Police Officer would not be dispatched for further action due to the short time the vehicle had been parked and since it was also legally parked on the street. The BIS officer checked the area extensively to locate the female with the dog in the area but did not observe anyone matching the description provided by the member. The BIS Officer cleared the call at 9:10pm. No other calls regarding the vehicle or the female were received. Reporting member was called back and a message was left concerning the BIS Officer's and CSPD's actions. Officer monitored the vehicle and the area the remainder of the night and noted that the pickup truck was still parked at the same location at 11:32 pm but was gone from the area at 3:45 am. Vehicle information logged for future reference.

5/18…9:36 am…Zone 5…Cheyenne Mountain Blvd: BIS Officer received numerous calls of a possibly homeless male walking on the street near Broadmoor Elementary. The male was described as a WM with a light-colored blanket wrapped around himself. BIS Officer arrived at 9:58 am and located the male at Cheyenne Mountain Blvd and Northgate Road. BIS Officer made contact and observed the homeless appearing male to be a WM in his 30’s, with brown hair. He was wearing a black beanie cap, grey shirt with sweatpants, and the light-colored blanket. The male refused any assistance and stated he was walking to Strawberry Fields. When asked by the BIS Officer, the male knew the street names in the area and was clearly familiar with the area and was not lost. He knew exactly how to get to Strawberry Fields. The male did not appear to be impaired and was articulate. He was advised to stay on the sidewalks and city streets and off private property. The male was pleasant and caused no problems. He continued walking west toward Strawberry Fields. The officer cleared the call at 10:05 am. No other calls were received regarding the WM.
