4/8…7:32 pm…Zone 3…Alsace Way: Received a call from a BIS member reporting that a homeless person may have been sleeping in the area. The member saw a black tarp fashioned into a tent and tied to some branches and a bush in an open area near the member's home. The member also reported seeing a suspected homeless person described as a dark haired - possibly Hispanic male with a beard - in his mid to late 20’s, wearing jeans and a red shirt sitting on a park bench nearby earlier in the day. The BIS officer arrived at 7:33 pm and contacted the reporting member. The Officer found the tarp but did not observe any trash or debris left behind that typically is found around homeless camps or by someone sleeping in the area. No suspected homeless people were observed in the area as well. The BIS Officer logged the information and shared it with the late shift BIS Officer who would keep checking throughout the night for anyone suspicious in the area. Officer cleared the call at 8:00 pm.

4/10…Nothing reported.
4/11..7:36 pm…Zone 6…Kincaid Court: Received a call from a BIS member about a WF approximately 17-18 years old, wearing a red blouse, that came to the member's home and claimed she was selling windows. The member requested that a BIS Officer contact the young female. The BIS Officer arrived at 7:49 pm, immediately located and contacted the female as she was walking back to her vehicle parked on Chantrey Court. The female was observed to be a WF, mid 20’s, wearing a red polo shirt with a company name embroidered on it. Female was approximately 5’10” tall, slender build with long brown hair in a ponytail. The BIS Officer determined that the female was not selling windows, but rather her company was looking for a few houses in the area to install and model the line of windows produced by her company. The young female was not acting nervous or suspicious and was very nice and polite. After the brief contact with the BIS Officer, the female left the area in a newer model maroon SUV. The reporting member was contacted by the BIS Officer who then cleared the call at 8:20 pm. Information was logged for future reference and sharing with all BIS Officers.
4/11…8:59 pm…Zone 1…Fourth Street and Elm Ave: A BIS member called stating that loud voices could be heard on the street in front of the member's house. The member also stated that the member's dog was agitated and barking. The member requested that a BIS Officer check the area and to also look around the member's yard for anyone possibly trespassing. The BIS officer arrived at 9 pm and observed four WM’s, approximately 16-19 years old, attempting to hide from the BIS Officer in some bushes on 4th street between Berthe Circle and Elm Ave. All four males took off running when the Officer approached and attempted to contact them. The four young males were last seen running towards Polo Drive. No vehicles were observed in the area. The BIS Officer contacted the reporting member and checked the backyard and exterior of the member's house. Nothing unusual was observed and nothing appeared to be damaged at the member's home or in the area. No other calls were received regarding the four young males. The officer cleared the call at 9:20 pm.
4/12…9:15 pm…Zone 8…Pourtales Road: Received a call from a BIS member about two loud motorcycles speeding up and down Pourtales Road and around the area for about one hour. The BIS Officer responded to the area after finishing another call for service and parked on Hunter’s Lane at 9:41 pm. The Officer could hear the motorcycles approaching in the distance. At 9:43 pm, the Officer observed the motorcycles on Pourtales Road. Both were seen travelling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the stop sign at Pourtales Road and Mirada Road as they obviously had seen the BIS marked patrol vehicle. Both vehicles were last seen travelling North on Mirada Road towards Lake Ave. One of the motorcycles was noted to be a white dirt bike with red and white markings. The second motorcycle was a blue and white or black and white bullet style bike. Both riders were wearing helmets, so the BIS Officer was unable to get a description of the drivers except to note that they appeared to both be males. The BIS Officer did not pursue the motorcycles. The Officer remained parked in the area and called the reporting member back to inform the member of the Officer's observations. Neither of the motorcycle riders came back to the area during the time the Officer remained there. No other calls regarding the reckless motorcyclists were received. The officer cleared the call at 10 pm.
