4/14…9:42 am…Zone 3...Alsace Way: Received a call from a BIS member about a possible homeless male wearing a rainbow-colored jacket/hoodie acting suspiciously in the area. The male was last seen walking towards Bear Paw Lane. Reporting member stated that it appeared that the homeless male tried to enter two homes on Alsace Way. BIS officer responded and arrived in the area at 9:59 am. Officer checked the area for the male but no one matching the description was in the area. No other calls were received. The officer cleared the call at 10:15 am.
4/14…1:01 pm…Zone 8…Mirada Road: Received a call from a member about a possible homeless male carrying a blue sleeping bag, walking on Mirada Road. BIS officer arrived in the area at 1:14 pm. While checking the area, the Officer received a second call about the same male who was now reported to be walking on Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. The homeless appearing male was located and contacted by the BIS Officer. The male stated he was lost. The male did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was articulate and did not appear to be a threat. The BIS Officer opted to provide the male a ride out of the Broadmoor area North toward homeless services. The officer cleared the call at 1:45 pm.

4/17…2:53 am…Zone 10…Upland Road: Received a call from a BIS member who was awakened by an alert from the exterior cameras of the member's residence. The member reported that an unknown individual was seen on the camera walking up the driveway and then attempted to look in the garage windows. The unknown suspicious person then appeared to leave the property. The BIS Officer arrived at 2:59 am and noted that no suspicious persons or vehicles were detected in the area as the Officer responded to the member's residence. Upon arrival, the Officer thoroughly checked the exterior of the residence. No individuals were located by the Officer and no signs of attempted entry or other foul play were observed. The Officer then contacted and informed the member about the Officer's observations and findings. It appeared the suspicious person had left the area. The member shared the camera video with the BIS Officer. Upon looking at the video the BIS Officer observed that the suspicious person appeared to be a dark-haired WM, in his 30’s, wearing a sleeveless shirt with American flag stripes running vertically and was also wearing what appeared to be a skirt. The suspicious person was also wearing sandals. The BIS Officer left the residence and patrolled the area further but did not locate the suspicious person. No other calls regarding this suspicious person were received by BIS. The Officer cleared the call at 3:25 am. The Officer monitored the residence and the area the remainder of the night, logged the suspect's description for future reference and information sharing with all BIS Officers and CSPD if needed.
