3/3…2:35 am…Zone 5…Sierra Vista Drive: While patrolling the area, a BIS Officer observed an older model silver 4 door SUV with CO plates and very dark tinted windows, pull out of a driveway on Sierra Vista Drive. The driver of the vehicle stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road on Springmeadow Drive for several minutes with the vehicle engine running. The driver then drove off stopping again in the road on Springmeadow Drive at the roundabout with Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. As the BIS Officer approached the vehicle the driver drove off again, going North on Springmeadow Drive towards Lake Avenue. The vehicle was observed again stopped on Springmeadow Drive at Lake Ave straddling both turn lanes at the stop sign. CSPD was called at 2:47 am by the BIS Officer to report on a possible DUI or impaired driver. Vehicle description and location were reported to CSPD. At 3:16 am - just as an officer from CSPD arrived - the driver began driving East on Lake Avenue and passed Highway 115. After a very brief BIS Officer report to the CSPD Officer, the CSPD Officer went to see if he could find the vehicle. The suspected impaired driver’s vehicle was unknown to the BIS Officer and likely not observed in the area before. BIS Officer checked the area, but nothing was seen damaged or unusual in the area where the SUV was first seen. BIS Officer cleared the incident at 03:20 am.
3/3…6:09 pm…Zone 6... Broadmoor Valley Road: BIS Officer received an alarm call for a BIS member’s residence reporting that the alarm was coming from the front door or garage/door. While enroute, the BIS Officer received a call from the homeowner. The BIS officer arrived at 6:25 pm. Upon arrival it was observed that both front doors were standing open but there were no signs of forced entry. The possibility that very strong winds in the area blew the doors open. A complete perimeter checks was conducted, and all other doors and windows were secure. There was no evidence of any intruder or criminal activity observed. The homeowner was contacted and the BIS Officer secured the doors and turned the alarm on. The officer cleared the call at 6:48 pm.

The BIS Officer arrived at 11:58 pm and began checking the exterior of the house, finding the front door closed, but unlocked. After a full perimeter check, the Officer contacted the member who requested the BIS Officer enter the house to further check the interior. The BIS Officer did not locate anyone inside the residence and nothing appeared disturbed. CSPD Officers arrived approximately 30 minutes later, and the house was checked again by CSPD who subsequently also found nothing disturbed and nobody inside the residence. The BIS Officer cleared the call at 1:15 am.
