3/25 – 2:49 am | Zone 9 – Chataway Court
The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from Advanced Alarm Company regarding a basement motion alarm at a member’s residence. The Officer arrived at 2:56 am; the alarm was not audible. As the Officer approached the member's residence he was on alert for any suspicious vehicles or people in the area. None were observed. A full exterior inspection found all doors and windows secure with no signs of attempted entry. Advanced Alarm was notified to inform the member the residence was secure. Cleared at 3:07 am.
3/26 – 2:48 am | Zone 7 – Hutton Lane
While on patrol, the BIS Officer heard an audible burglar alarm and determined it was coming from a non-member residence. CSPD was notified at 2:53 am and advised officers were en route. A nearby BIS member reported observing the homeowner inside with a flashlight attempting to silence the alarm. The alarm was reset at approximately 3:19 am. BIS notified CSPD the alarm was secured but did not wait for their arrival. Cleared at 3:20 am.
3/27 – 11:48 pm | Zone 6 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
While on patrol, the BIS Officer contacted a white male, approximately 50 years old, wearing blue sweatpants, a dark sweater, and blue-and-white tennis shoes. The individual appeared intoxicated and stated he was trying to return home. Identification confirmed a local address within the BIS area. The BIS Officer determined the male was not a danger to others but for his safety the male was given a ride to a hotel he was staying at located at Cheyenne Mountain Blvd near Lake Avenue. Cleared at 1:06 am.
3/28 – 6:13 pm | Zone 7
The BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding several individuals with motorcycles parked in front of the member’s house. A female from the group had approached the home and rang the doorbell. The member then contacted the on-duty BIS Officer. The Officer arrived at 6:22 pm and contacted two males and one female on the street with the motorcycles. They stated they were taking a few pictures of their motorcycles with a black 4 door Subaru sedan in front of a tree with pink blossoms as the background for the photos. All were very pleasant to talk to, cordial and cooperative when advised by the BIS Officer not to enter onto private property or disturb BIS members. The reporting member was called back by the BIS Officer and informed the member what the individuals were doing in the area. The subjects left the area, and the Officer cleared the call at 6:30 pm.
