Officer Reports 9/7/26 to 9/13/26

9/7 – 5:30 pm | Zone 8 – Mirada Road

Received a call from Advanced Alarm regarding an alarm activation at a member’s residence originating from the back door. The BIS Officer arrived at 5:35 pm and found the front door secure. The exterior of the residence was checked, and all doors and windows were secure with no signs of attempted entry. Advanced Alarm called back and advised that the homeowner had confirmed the alarm was accidental and requested cancellation. The Officer cleared the call at 5:45 pm.

9/8 – 5:00 pm | Zone 1 – Fourth Street

Received a call from a BIS member regarding a burglar alarm at the residence and advising that CSPD was on scene. Contrary to the homeowner’s instructions to the alarm company, the alarm company contacted CSPD but did not notify BIS. BIS became aware of the alarm only after being contacted directly by the homeowner.

The BIS Officer arrived at 5:05 pm; CSPD was no longer on scene. The Officer checked the exterior of the residence and found everything secure with no signs of attempted entry. The homeowner was contacted and advised that the residence was secure. The Officer cleared the call at 5:10 pm.

9/9 – 12:02 am | Zone 7 – Lake Avenue

Received calls from two BIS members reporting a loud bang and a traffic accident on Lake Avenue, north of their residences. The BIS Officer arrived at 12:05 am and observed a newer-model Dodge Ram truck with Colorado plates off the roadway on a grassy embankment. The truck had severe front-end and tire damage. CSPD was on scene and advised that the driver had experienced a medical issue prior to the accident. The vehicle was towed from the area. CSPD and the BIS Officer attempted to contact the reporting members but were unsuccessful. The Officer cleared the call at 12:30 am.

9/12 – 5:55 am | Zone 9 – Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard

While patrolling the area, the BIS Officer was flagged down by a male in his 20s wearing black jeans and a green T-shirt. The male appeared intoxicated and was bleeding from the palms of his hands. He stated that he had been celebrating his 23rd birthday and that his friends had left him on Old Stage Road several hours earlier. The male stated that he had scraped his hands after falling on gravel. Medical assistance was requested, and CSFD arrived at 6:09 am. Paramedics cleaned the wounds and determined that ambulance transport was not necessary. The Officer contacted the male’s girlfriend, who arrived and picked him up at 6:27 am. The Officer cleared the call at 6:28 am.
