3/16 – 8:57 am | Zone 5 – Springdowns Place
Received a call from a BIS member, who was away from home, regarding an audible alarm activation associated with the living room motion detector. The BIS Officer arrived at 9:06 am and noted that the alarm was no longer audible. The Officer conducted a complete perimeter check of the residence and observed that all doors and windows were intact, locked and secure. No signs of attempted entry or damaged or missing property were detected. Officer cleared the call at 9:16 am.
3/17 – Routine patrols completed – no reportable incidents
3/18 – 4:05 pm | Zone 2 – Fourth Street
The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a BIS member, who was away from home, regarding a motion sensor alarm activation at the member's residence. The Officer arrived at 4:08 pm and completed a full exterior check of the house while maintaining telephone contact with the member. The Officer found no signs of attempted entry or damaged or possible missing property. It was noted that all doors, and windows were locked and secure. Officer cleared the call at 4:17 pm.
3/19 – 6:10 pm | Zone 1 – Hermosa Way
BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding suspicious activity. The resident reported the incident after the fact and noted there was no urgency, as the suspicious individuals had already departed the area. The member observed a male in his 20s wearing jeans and riding a scooter, who appeared to be followed by another male in a vehicle (no additional description provided). The Officer arrived in the area at 6:55 pm and conducted patrols on several nearby streets with no sighting of either individual. No unusual activity was observed, and no additional calls were received. The reporting member was contacted at their residence. Cleared at 7:10 pm.
3/20 – Routine patrols completed – no reportable incidents
3/21 – 9:48 am | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Avenue
BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on Hunter’s Lane that was unknown to the member and was in an area not typically used for parking. Van described as a white cargo van. The Officer arrived at 10:00 am and located a newer model Dodge Ram cargo van with current Colorado plates parked in a grassy area facing northbound. The officer recorded the vehicle description in detail and observed the van to be legally parked, unoccupied and noted the windows were partially open. No unusual activity was observed in the area, and no individuals were located nearby. No additional calls were received. Cleared at 10:10 am but monitored the location and van the remainder of day shift. The van left the area later that day without incident.
3/21 – 10:11 am | Zone 4 – Strickler Road
BIS Officer received a call from a member requesting assistance after a fall in her front yard and needed assistance getting up. Â The Officer responded immediately and arrived at 10:16 am; a neighbor was already on scene and assisted the member into a chair. The member did not request or require further assistance. Cleared at 10:20 am.
3/21 – 8:40 pm | Zone 9 – Old Stage Road
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a red four-door Dodge sedan with Colorado plates parked on the wrong side of the road with only parking lights illuminated, positioned across from a member’s driveway. The Officer approached and contacted a white male in his 40s with a full beard seated in the driver’s seat. The individual stated he had a baby sleeping in the backseat and was taking a break while viewing the city lights. No suspicious behavior was observed and no assistance was requested. Cleared at 8:44 pm but monitored the vehicle for awhile until it left the area.Â
