2/9 – Nothing reported.
2/10 – 2:45 am | Zone 5 – Sierra Vista Drive
While on patrol, a BIS Officer heard dogs barking at a member’s residence. The Officer observed the front door standing open, with the screen door closed and locked. Two small dogs were visible inside the home. Due to the late hour and cold temperature, the situation appeared unusual and warranted further investigation.
The Officer attempted contact via the Ring doorbell but received no response, despite lights being on throughout the residence. A complete exterior check was conducted. In the backyard, the Officer observed a storage container with several tools lying on the ground nearby. The door leading into the garage was also open; however, no one was located inside and no movement was detected within the residence.
CSPD was notified at 2:52 am. Officer Pena arrived at 3:05 am and was briefed on the situation. A second CSPD Officer responded to assist. Both CSPD Officers attempted contact at the front door but did not enter the residence and observed nothing beyond what had already been reported.
The BIS Officer was unable to reach the homeowner by phone but contacted the member’s emergency contact listed on file. The Officer cleared at 3:38 am after transferring scene control to CSPD, who remained on scene awaiting the emergency contact’s arrival with a key. Final disposition was unknown at the time of this report.
2/10 – 5:40 pm | Zone 5 – Sequoyah Road
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a suspicious male described as a Hispanic male in his 40s, wearing gray pants, a dark jacket, brown shoes, a baseball cap, and sunglasses. The male identified himself as “Jared” and stated he was looking for work. The member reported this individual had come to the residence three separate times in the recent past.
The Officer arrived at 5:50 pm and searched the area but was unable to locate the individual. Doorbell camera footage was captured and shared with BIS. The video was logged and distributed to all BIS Officers for awareness. No additional calls were received regarding this individual. The reporting member was updated, and the Officer cleared at 6:09 pm.
2/11 – 2:42 am | Zone 6 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a white four-door Jeep with Colorado plates parked behind a member’s closed business with the engine running and headlights on. The vehicle was occupied by a Hispanic female and an Asian male, both in their 20s, who were sleeping inside.
Both individuals have been contacted previously at this same location and are employees of a nearby business. They did not appear impaired or in need of assistance. Both were advised and left the property without incident. Officer cleared at 2:50 am.
2/12 – 3:04 am | Zone 8 – Cheyenne Mountain BlvdA BIS Officer received a call from a member who was away from home reporting that driveway access gates were opening and closing randomly.
The Officer arrived at 3:14 am and conducted a full exterior check of the residence. No signs of attempted entry, criminal activity, suspicious persons, or vehicles were observed. The gates were monitored for several minutes, and no irregular activation occurred. The homeowner was contacted and advised that the residence appeared secure. Officer cleared at 3:25 am.
2/12 – 11:18 pm | Zone 10 – Alta Vista Road
A BIS Officer responded to a member reporting sounds consistent with knocking on the exterior walls and windows of the residence.
The Officer arrived at 11:24 pm and conducted a complete exterior check. No signs of attempted entry, damage, suspicious persons, or vehicles were observed. The member was contacted and advised the residence was secure. Officer cleared at 11:29 pm.
2/12 – 11:30 pm | Zone 1 – Mayhurst Ave
A second call was received from another member reporting knocking sounds on the exterior walls and windows of the residence.
The Officer arrived at 11:35 pm, contacted the homeowner, and conducted a full exterior check. No signs of attempted entry, damage, suspicious persons, or vehicles were observed. Officer cleared at 11:40 pm.
2/12 – 12:45 am | Zone 6 – Star Ranch Plaza
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a red Honda four-door sedan with unknown plates parked near multiple closed member businesses. The engine was running.
The Officer contacted a white female in her late 30s to early 40s seated in the driver’s seat. She had long blonde hair, was wearing a white hoodie, and had numerous tattoos on her face and neck. She was unable to provide a clear explanation for being on private property at that hour. She did not appear impaired or in need of assistance and left the property without incident. Officer cleared at 12:50 am.
2/13 – 2:45 am | Zone 6 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
While on patrol, the BIS Officer again observed the same white four-door Jeep with Colorado plates contacted on 2/11/26. The vehicle was parked behind a member’s closed business.
The same Hispanic female and Asian male were contacted while sleeping in the vehicle. They stated they had gotten off work at 1:00 am and fell asleep. They were advised it is unsafe to sleep in a vehicle in a parking lot and were asked to leave the private property. Both departed without issue. Officer cleared at 2:50 am.
2/13 – 8:31 am | Zone 1 – Fourth Street
A BIS Officer responded to a member reporting a suspicious female wearing a black hoodie, green jacket, and gray sweatpants sitting near the driveway who may have been in need of assistance.
The Officer arrived at 8:39 am and observed the female walking east on Lake Avenue. She appeared homeless but did not appear impaired or in need of assistance. The Officer monitored her as she left the area. No additional calls were received. Officer cleared at 8:40 am.
2/13 – 10:34 pm | Zone 7 – Old Broadmoor Road / Broadmoor Avenue
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a female stumbling in the roadway toward Lake Avenue. She was described as wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans, with a white jacket tied around her waist.
The Officer arrived at 10:45 pm and observed CSPD units on Lake Avenue at Old Broadmoor Road. The female was walking east on Lake Avenue. A CSPD Officer advised that he had contacted her; she refused assistance and did not appear impaired or in danger.
The reporting member was updated. Officer cleared at 10:54 pm.

2/15 – 9:05 pm | Zone 1 – Cheyenne Road
A BIS Officer received a call regarding a suspicious black truck with a loud exhaust and a male driver on Mayhurst Avenue. The driver was reportedly on the opposite side of the nearby creek, whistling loudly while looking toward the member’s residence, before driving south on Mayhurst Avenue toward Mesa Avenue.
The Officer arrived at 9:22 pm and checked Mesa Avenue and surrounding streets. No vehicle matching the description was located. Nothing unusual was otherwise observed. The information was logged and shared with all BIS Officers for awareness. No additional calls were received. Officer cleared at 9:30 pm.
