A full exterior check of the home was completed; all doors and windows were intact and secure with no signs of damage or attempted entry. The member was contacted at the front door and confirmed the residence was secure. The member also reported that a possibly intoxicated male had been seen earlier walking down the street; no further description was available. While on patrol, the Officer observed an unfamiliar black Mazda four-door sedan parked off the roadway without license plates. The Officer contacted a WF in her 30s with long brown hair sleeping in the backseat. She was slow to respond and did not answer questions. Concerned for her welfare, the Officer notified CSPD at 4:38 am. Three CSPD officers arrived at 5:05 am and conducted further investigation. The female stated her vehicle had run out of gas and she chose to sleep in the car. CSPD determined the vehicle was legally parked and that she was not impaired to the point of danger or in need of assistance. The Officer cleared at 5:20 am.

A BIS member reported a grey Honda CRV with Colorado plates that had been parking intermittently in front of the residence over the past several days. The Officer arrived at 7:35 pm; the vehicle was no longer present. The area was checked with negative results. Information was logged for future reference and extra patrol. The Officer cleared at 7:39 pm and continued monitoring; the vehicle did not return.
2/4 – 7:39 pm | Zone 1 – Polo Drive
Officer received a call from a member reporting a suspicious male who rang the doorbell asking to use the bathroom. The male left on a scooter after being told to leave. The Officer arrived at 7:43 pm and contacted the member, who provided Ring camera footage. The video showed a White or Hispanic male in his mid-20s wearing a two-toned jacket, a red New York Yankees baseball cap (worn backwards), and a thin goatee. The Officer patrolled the area but was unable to locate the male or scooter. Information was logged and shared with all BIS Officers. Cleared at 7:55 pm. No further contact occurred.

The incident was logged, and the Ring photo from the Polo Drive contact was shared with all BIS Officers. Cleared at 8:40 pm. Extra patrols were established in Zone 2 for several days. The Officer advised him to discontinue following for safety reasons. The solicitor was described as a WM with black hair, grey jacket, and jeans. The Officer arrived at 5:17 pm near Hill Drive and Old Stage Road and observed a male matching the description. The individual was a Hispanic male with long black hair, wearing a grey “Performance Windows” company jacket, jeans, and glasses. Contact was made; the male was cooperative and did not present a threat. He was advised not to enter or trespass onto BIS member properties designated by yellow BIS yard signs. The male stated he would comply and left the area. No additional calls were received. Cleared at 5:30 pm. Information was logged for future reference.
2/8 – 3:03 am | Zone 2 – Elm Ave and Fourth Street
While on patrol, the Officer observed a newer model Ford F-250 diesel pickup with Colorado plates and dark tinted windows traveling slowly. The vehicle stopped abruptly in the intersection upon noticing the marked BIS patrol vehicle, then quickly turned onto Fourth Street toward Polo Drive. The truck bed contained multiple black and yellow totes, a generator, and other miscellaneous items. A blue tarp was dragging from the passenger side of the bed.
The Officer circled the block and observed the vehicle stopped at Polo Drive and Third Street. As the Officer approached, the truck departed at a high rate of speed, turning onto Third Street, then Mesa Avenue, and was last seen southbound on First Street. The Officer positioned nearby to monitor for return and conducted additional patrols throughout Zone 2 but was unable to relocate the vehicle. The area where the truck was first observed was checked for signs of theft or damage with negative results. Cleared at 3:16 am. Vehicle information logged for future reference.
