2/4…11:20 pm…Zone 10…Upland Road: Received a call from a BIS member that their motion detection alarm was activated in the master bedroom at the member's residence. BIS officer arrived at 11:26 pm. The alarm was not audible upon arrival. No vehicles or individuals were seen in the area. A full perimeter search of the residence was conducted. All doors and windows were secure with no sign of attempted entry. The BIS member was notified that everything was secure. Officer cleared at 11:47 pm.
2/5…1:35 am…Zone 6…Star Ranch Road: BIS Officer observed a suspicious vehicle (possibly abandoned) parked on private property in an unusual location in the parking lot. A white KIA Sportage with the license plates removed and no items visible inside the vehicle. The vehicle appeared to have been abandoned. Officer noted that there was no damage to the interior of the vehicle and particularly that the steering column was not damaged which would have indicated that the vehicle had been stolen. Property management was notified so the vehicle could be towed from the property at the property manager’s convenience.

2/7…11:48 am…Zone 1…Jupiter Drive: A BIS member called about a suspicious WM described as wearing a flannel type shirt, darker hair, in his 50’s. This suspicious WM was observed to enter the backyard of the member's neighbor residence carrying a camera stick and was seen taking pictures of the home's roof. The BIS officer arrived at 12:00 pm but was unable to locate anyone matching the description in the backyard or in the area. Nothing was observed by the Officer that was unusual in the backyard or in the immediate area. No other calls were received. The officer cleared at 12:05 pm.
2/8…3:02 am…Zone 7…Hutton Lane: BIS Officer observed a suspicious truck parked along the side of the road between the east entrance to the Colorado Springs School and Pourtales Road. The suspicious truck was a red/maroon GMC Sierra 4 door pick-up truck with CO plates. The truck was unoccupied. Officer did not observe anyone in the area on foot that might appear to be associated with the truck. While the truck seemed out of place, it was legally parked. Officer had never seen this pick-up in the area before. Officer noted that this truck was not parked at this location earlier in the evening when the officer drove through the area at 11:43 pm. Officer monitored the truck throughout the night. It was discovered to have left the area later in the morning. Description of the truck was logged for future reference.
2/8…6:30 pm…Zone 1…Mesa Ave: BIS Officer observed a suspicious vehicle that had been driving around the Broadmoor area for several hours. The vehicle was first seen at Evans Road and Mesa Ave around 1:30 pm. The second sighting was at First Street and Lake Ave a few hours later when the vehicle was observed to stop at a stop sign but was positioned in the middle of the road with no lights on. The vehicle was then later seen at Mesa Ave and Mayhurst Ave. stopped in the middle of the roadway, appearing to be waiting to turn but with no turn signals activated. As the BIS Officer attempted to go past the vehicle the driver sped off and turned onto El Pomar Road. The BIS Officer patrolled El Pomar Road, the Catholic Church parking lot and several streets in the area including Plainview Road, West Point Road and Penrose Blvd in an attempt to locate the vehicle again. Officer was unable to locate the suspicious vehicle again. The vehicle was a mid-90’s/early 2000’s gold Dodge Durango with CO plates, and very dark tinted windows. The BIS Officer could not see the driver or any of the occupants inside the vehicle. The vehicle description was logged and shared with all other BIS Officers for possible observation and future reference.
