2/26…8:59 am…Zone 6…Ashgrove Street: BIS Officer received a call from an alarm company regarding an alarm at a member’s residence coming from the garage door. BIS officer arrived at 9:12 am. Checked all exterior doors and windows but no signs of attempted entry, property damage or foul play. The officer attempted phone contact with the member and left voice message advising everything was secure at the house. As the BIS officer was leaving the area an officer from CSPD arrived. BIS Officer shared information and action taken with CSPD Officer and both officers cleared the scene at 9:25 am.

 

2/27…5:33 pm…Zone 4…Haney Road: BIS received a call from a BIS member regarding a Hispanic male who was observed on the member's doorbell camera walking up and down the member's driveway and who then disappeared. Male possibly went through a hole in the back fence to an area behind the houses on Haney Road and Strickler Road area. BIS officer arrived at 5:40 pm and contacted the reporting party. Video footage showed the male had black hair wearing a brown and cream-colored shirt and khaki pants. The area was searched but the BIS Officer was unable to locate the suspicious male. No other calls were received. The officer cleared the call at 6:05 pm. Monitored the area the rest of the night and passed suspicious person information on to other BIS Officers.

 

2/27…7:42 pm…Zone 4…Old Broadmoor Road: BIS received a call from a member regarding a suspicious male that was seen on the doorbell camera drinking from the outside faucet of the member's home near the front door. No description of the male was given. BIS officer arrived at 7:46 pm and began checking the property for the suspicious male. Officer conducted a thorough perimeter check but detected no signs of attempted entry or property damage. All doors and windows were secure. Suspicious male was not located on the property or in the area. No other calls were received. The officer cleared the call at 8:00 pm.

 

2/27…8:20 pm…Zone 4…Gardner Place: BIS received a call from a BIS member reporting that they saw a Safeway cart, with possibly food items inside, in the area near their residence. No one was seen around the cart. BIS officer arrived at 8:25 pm and found the cart with only a bottle in it - but no other items. Suspecting the cart may have been used by a possible homeless person the BIS Officer checked the wooded area nearby but did not locate anyone or any signs of anyone sleeping/camping in the area. No other calls regarding the cart or any possible homeless persons were received. Officer cleared at 8:38 pm.

3/1…6:56 pm…Zone 8…Marland Road: Received a call from a non-member frantic about a HM that was at his front door. Reporting party stated that no one should be or was expected at their house. The male at the door was told to leave the property through the doorbell camera. Male was reported as being seen driving a red 4 door sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla. Male was wearing a red ball cap with "F.... OFF" depicted on the front. Having numerous BIS members in the area, the BIS Officer responded and arrived at 7:03 pm where he began checking the area of Marland Road and Crossland Road. The Officer did not observe the described vehicle in the area, however. The officer proceeded to the residence and met the owner who arrived a few minutes later. Upon looking at the doorbell video the male was a HM in his 30’s wearing black pants, red t-shirt with CK printed on the front, black and grey jacket and the red ballcap. On the video the male could be heard saying “Uber delivery” but had no bag or items in his hands other than a cell phone. Male left in the red sedan and was last seen going North on Marland Road towards the Broadmoor Elementary School. Officer checked the area for the vehicle again but did not locate it. The officer cleared the call at 7:28 pm. No other calls were received regarding this suspicious person or vehicle. Officer monitored the area the remainder of the night and logged the vehicle and suspicious male description and information for future reference and sharing with other officers.

 

3/1…9:48 pm…Zone 2…Polo Drive: Received a call from a BIS member stating that she could hear loud yelling, tires squealing, and a loud explosion from the area of the church on 4th street. BIS officer arrived at 9:54 pm, but no vehicles or individuals were seen on the church property or in the area. BIS Officer found the debris from a large firework in the church parking lot. While there, the BIS Officer was contacted by a male who lives on the church property. He stated that teens/kids are getting to be an issue lately on the church property. He stated that he had attempted to call CSPD but was unable to get through in a timely manner. No other calls were received by BIS. The BIS Officer advised the male that the church was not a current BIS member and recommended to him that the church place no trespassing signs around the property and block off the parking lot. The officer cleared at 10:14 pm.
