12/5 – 10:00–10:30 pm | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Avenue
BIS received a call from a member at 1:36 am regarding a group of adult males observed on the home’s exterior cameras between 10:00 pm and 10:30 pm walking in the street. The males were all wearing hoodies, and no further description was possible. One male was observed approaching the member’s front door, while another was recorded attempting to open the member’s kitchen door. Both attempts to enter the home were unsuccessful, as all doors were locked. No property damage or other criminal activity was observed. No additional reports of similar activity in the area were received by BIS. The on-duty BIS Officer had patrolled the area at approximately 11:28 pm but did not observe the suspicious males. The Officer monitored the area for the remainder of the evening and logged the information for future reference and information sharing with all BIS Officers.
12/8 – 11:11 am | Zone 8 – Mirada Road
BIS received notification of an alarm activation involving a possible door or window “glass break” at a member’s residence. The Officer arrived at 11:16 am and contacted the member, who was at home. The Officer and member checked the interior of the home and determined the alarm was likely caused by ongoing work. No evidence of foul play or other criminal activity was observed.
Call cleared at 11:21 am.
12/9 – 9:18 pm | Zone 2 – Berthe Circle
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting the possible shadow of a person prowling in the backyard area. The Officer arrived at 9:25 pm and checked the exterior of the house and backyard. No human tracks were observed in the recent fresh snow around the property. The Officer also checked two storage sheds in the backyard; nothing appeared disturbed, and no signs of attempted entry were observed at any doors or windows. The member was contacted and advised that no one was in the area. The Officer monitored the area for the remainder of the night.

12/10 – Nothing Reported
12/11 – 7:32 pm | Zone 7 – Briarwood Place
BIS received a call from a member regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near the member’s mailbox. The Officer arrived at 7:37 pm and observed a white Toyota SUV with Colorado license plates legally parked and unattended on the street. No suspicious individuals or unusual activity were observed. The Officer contacted the reporting member and relayed his observations.
Call cleared at 7:56 pm.
12/12 – 12:33 am | Zone 6 – Laurel Oak Court
The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a vehicle playing extremely loud music at Broadmoor Valley Park. No vehicle description was available. The Officer arrived at 12:36 am but did not observe any vehicles or individuals, and no loud music was heard. No other calls regarding loud music in the area were received by BIS.
Call cleared at 12:45 am.
12/13 – 8:55 am | Zone 1 – Second Street
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting that someone had entered the member’s garage and taken items during the night. The member arrived home around 9:00 pm the previous evening and discovered the missing items the following morning. One of the stolen items was the member’s garage door opener. Entry was likely made through the side entrance door. No suspect description or camera footage was available. The Officer provided the member with information needed to file a report with CSPD. A CSPD Officer responded and completed a burglary/theft report. No additional calls regarding break-ins or other criminal activity were received in the area.
Call cleared at 9:30 am.
Extra patrols were assigned to the area, and the information was logged for sharing with all BIS Officers.
12/14 – 10:00 am | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Avenue / Hutton Lane
BIS received a call from a member reporting a black ATV being driven on the street and in the nearby school field area. No further description was provided. The Officer arrived at 10:15 am but did not observe or hear an ATV in the area. No additional calls regarding an ATV were received by BIS.

12/14 – 11:07 pm | Zone 3 – Bear Paw Lane
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked near the back fence line of a non-member’s residence at Bear Paw Lane South and High Valley Court, close to several BIS member homes. The vehicle was described as a dark-colored sedan with dark tinted windows and Texas license plates. The vehicle appeared occupied, though the number of occupants could not be determined. A detailed description was recorded.
At approximately 11:10 pm, the Officer again observed the same vehicle parked in front of a member’s residence on Bear Paw Lane North. As the Officer approached, the vehicle drove away, briefly stopped in front of another member’s residence, and then departed again. The Officer then observed a dome light activated inside a vehicle parked in the member’s driveway where the suspicious vehicle had stopped. The Officer did not observe anyone entering or exiting either vehicle.
The Officer contacted the member, and together they checked the vehicle. Nothing appeared disturbed, damaged, or unusual, and the dome light was turned off. The Officer patrolled the area again and determined the suspicious vehicle had left the area. No other unusual activity or signs of vehicle break-ins were observed. Vehicle information was logged for future reference and sharing with all BIS Officers.
Incident initially cleared at 11:28 pm.
