1/1 – 4:28 am | Zone 6 - Briarcrest Place
A BIS member called the office telephone regarding an alarm activation at the back patio sliding door. The member was not at home. The BIS Officer arrived at 4:50 am and observed CSPD officers already on scene. A complete exterior check of the residence was conducted with CSPD. No signs of attempted entry, damage, or criminal activity were observed. All doors and windows were secure. The homeowner was contacted and advised that everything was secure. High winds were a possible cause of the alarm activation. Officers cleared the call at 4:58 am.

1/1 – 3:20 pm | Zone 9 - Old Stage Road
The BIS Officer received several calls from members regarding a vehicle that had slid partially off the roadway where the pavement ends on Old Stage Road. The Officer arrived at 3:25 pm and observed a red minivan partially off the side of the road. An older male driver self-identified and stated he did not want a tow truck or police assistance. No vehicle damage was observed, and the driver did not appear impaired or injured, requiring no CSPD notification. The BIS Officer directed traffic while several drivers assisted in returning the vehicle to the roadway. The vehicle and driver then left the scene traveling west on Old Stage Road. The Officer cleared the call at 4:12 pm.
1/1 – 7:08 pm | Zone 10 - Alta Vista Road & Belle Aire Road
The on-duty Officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the intersection for several days. The vehicle was unfamiliar to area residents. The BIS Officer arrived at 7:12 pm and observed a black four-door Honda sedan with Colorado plates, legally parked and unattended. The vehicle was clean and not posing a hazard. No associated individuals or suspicious activity were observed. The reporting member was contacted and advised of the Officer’s findings. The vehicle was monitored for the remainder of the shift and the information was shared with the following shift Officer. The call was cleared at 7:32 pm. The vehicle left the location the following day.

1/3 – 7:44 am | Zone 4 - Cypress Lane
BIS received a call regarding a suspicious black SUV parked on the street for an extended period and unfamiliar to the reporting member. The BIS Officer arrived at 8:01 am and observed a newer-model black Ford Explorer with Colorado plates, legally parked and unoccupied. The vehicle was clean, and no unusual activity or individuals were observed. The Officer cleared the call at 8:05 am. No additional calls were received regarding the vehicle. The area was monitored for the remainder of the shift and information was shared with the following shift Officer, who reported the vehicle was still present at 11:12 pm with no unusual activity observed.
1/4 – 4:20 am | Zone 8 - Crossland Road
A BIS member called after being notified by ADT of a storage shed alarm activation. The BIS Officer arrived at 4:25 am and found the shed doors secure. No damage or displaced property was observed. High winds were present and may have caused the doors to move, triggering the alarm. A full exterior property security check was completed. The member was contacted and advised that all doors and windows were secure. The Officer cleared the call at 4:37 am.
1/4 – 10:54 pm | Zone 6 - Broadmoor Valley Road
A member contacted the on-duty BIS Officer after their alarm company reported activation of a master bedroom motion sensor and requested a residence check. The BIS Officer arrived at 10:56 pm and noted the alarm was not audible and no vehicles or individuals were observed in the area. A full exterior check of the residence revealed no signs of attempted entry, damage, or criminal activity. All doors, windows, and window screens were secure. The member was contacted and advised that the residence was secure. Two CSPD units arrived at 11:14 pm and conducted an exterior check, confirming the BIS Officer’s observations. All officers cleared the call at 11:26 pm.
