12/1 – 7:03 am | Zone 9 – Cheyenne Road
BIS Officer received an alarm call at a member’s residence for a first-floor/general alarm. Due to icy road conditions, the Officer arrived at 7:13 am. No vehicles or individuals were observed in the area upon arrival. The Officer noted the alarm was not audible. Fresh snow had fallen the previous evening, and there were no vehicle tracks or footprints anywhere on the property. The gate was closed and locked, and all exterior doors and windows were secure with no signs of attempted entry, damage, or suspicious activity.
Call cleared at 7:15 am.

12/6 – 2:36 am | Zone 9 – Marland Road South
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a suspicious white 2-door sedan/hatchback backed into the gravel pull-off near the golf course and city utilities access gate. The vehicle appeared to be occupied by at least one unknown individual. The Officer could not obtain a clear description due to limited visibility.
As the Officer began a U-turn, the vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed toward Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road. Due to snow and icy conditions, the Officer was unable to follow closely enough to observe a license plate. The vehicle was last seen traveling toward Old Stage Road with its lights off.
The Officer searched the area but located nothing unusual.
Area initially cleared at 2:50 am, with continued monitoring for the remainder of the night.
12/6 – 9:43 pm | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Ave
A BIS member reported a white sedan that had driven past the member’s home three times and at one point stopped in the roadway with its lights off. The BIS Officer arrived at 9:49 pm and located a newer-model Toyota Camry with CO plates parked on Hutton Lane, blocking the traffic lane with no lights on.
As the Officer pulled in behind the vehicle, the driver activated the hazard lights. The Officer contacted a BM, approximately in his 30s with a muscular build, who was in the backseat with his shirt off, along with a fully clothed female. The male stated they did not need assistance and were “just getting ready for work.”
The Officer remained in the area to observe. At 10:09 pm, both individuals exited the vehicle briefly, then re-entered the front seats and drove westbound on Pourtales Road. The vehicle information was forwarded to CSPD, and the reporting member was called back (message left).
Call cleared at 10:15 pm.

(Note: Graveyard shift on 12/7 includes early-morning events occurring on 12/8.)
While on patrol, the BIS Officer observed a black Chevy Trax with CO plates parked on the wrong side of the road next to the roadway island/divider. The vehicle was running with no lights on.
The Officer approached on foot and saw a WM in brown coveralls lying across the front seats, appearing to be asleep or passed out. CSPD was notified at 12:37 am. Two CSPD units arrived at 1:00 am, followed by two additional units at 1:10 am.
Police awakened the driver and placed him into a patrol vehicle for evaluation for possible DUI.
