Graffiti Activity

There have been recent incidents of graffiti on commercial buildings, though none were reported this past week. When graffiti is observed by BIS Officers, it is promptly painted over with spray paint. Quick mitigation of graffiti is a significant deterrent to additional incidents, and our officers remain on constant alert for the individuals responsible.

11/3 – Nothing reported.

11/4 – 12:40 am | Zone 1 – Lake Ave

Received a call from a BIS member reporting a light on inside a neighbor’s residence. BIS Officer arrived at 12:45 am and conducted an exterior check of the house. All doors and windows were secure, with no signs of attempted entry. The only light on was a back porch light. Reporting member was contacted and advised that all was secure and no one was seen in the area. Cleared at 12:56 am.

11/5 – Nothing reported.

11/6 – 3:59 pm | Zone 8 – Marland Road

A BIS Officer was flagged down by a motorist asking the officer to call 911. The individual in the vehicle was vomiting and having convulsions. 911 was called, and AMR arrived at 4:06 pm. BIS Officer directed traffic while AMR treated the individual. Cleared at 4:19 pm.

11/7 – 12:29 pm | Zone 9 – Hill Drive

Received a call from a resident reporting solicitors in the area described as a Black male and a Hispanic male, no further description provided. BIS Officer arrived at 12:35 pm and contacted a Black male, 30s, wearing a company sweater (“Elite Glass”) and dark jeans, along with a Hispanic male, 20s, wearing a light-colored polo shirt and jeans. Both were advised not to enter onto BIS members’ or private property. Both males left the area. Cleared at 12:45 pm.

11/8 – 1:23 pm | Zone 8 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd

Received a call from a BIS member regarding two solicitors from Elite Glass who came to the front door. BIS Officer was in the area at the time and searched for the individuals but was unable to locate them. No further calls were received. Cleared at 1:30 pm.

11/9 – 1:33 am | Zone 3 – Brown Bear Lane

BIS Officer observed a suspicious truck parked on Brown Bear Lane, unoccupied and not previously seen in the area. The vehicle was a white 2000 model Chevy Silverado with Colorado plates. A white male in his 30s, dressed in all black, returned to the truck carrying a gas can. Upon contact, the male stated he had been Door-Dashing and ran out of gas, coasting to the current location. Nothing suspicious was noted; the truck was clean and contained construction tools in the bed. Officer provided extra lighting assistance while the male refueled and departed. Cleared at 1:51 am.
