11/26 – 5:26 am | Zone 2 – Polo Drive

The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member who was out of town regarding an alarm activation at the member’s residence involving the lower-level sliding door. The Officer arrived at 5:28 am and did not observe any vehicles or individuals in the area. A full exterior check of the residence was conducted with no signs of attempted entry, damage, or theft. All doors and windows, including the lower-level sliding door, were secure. The Officer contacted the member and advised that everything appeared secure and the cause of the alarm activation was unknown. Cleared at 5:45 am.


11/26 – 8:13 am | Zone 8 – Marland Road

A BIS Officer received a call from an alarm company reporting a general burglar alarm at a member’s residence. The Officer arrived at 8:19 am and immediately contacted the member’s housekeeper, who stated she had incorrectly entered the alarm deactivation code. The Officer verified her identity and notified the alarm company, which then notified the homeowner. Cleared at 8:28 am.


11/27 – 5:17 am | Zone 7 – Broadmoor Ave

The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member, who was away from home, reporting that an unknown individual had been observed inside the residence on the home’s surveillance cameras. The member believed the subject may have entered through the garage. While the Officer was enroute, ADT Alarm Company also contacted BIS regarding an alarm activation at the same address. The Officer arrived at 5:21 am and observed no vehicles or individuals nearby. The garage doors were closed and secure. The Officer entered through the garage, announcing his presence, and conducted a complete room-to-room search of the entire home, including the basement. No individuals were located and nothing appeared disturbed, damaged, or missing. The backyard and all exterior doors and windows were also checked and found secure. The homeowner was notified of the results. Cleared at 5:45 am.


11/27 – 10:44 am | Zone 9 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd

The day-shift BIS Officer received a call from Xfinity Home Alarm Company regarding an alarm activation in the lower-level rec room of a member’s residence. The Officer arrived at 10:48 am and did not observe any vehicles or individuals in the area. The alarm was not audible. A complete exterior inspection revealed no signs of forced entry, damage, or theft. Two CSPD Officers arrived at 10:55 am, conducted their own exterior check, and confirmed that all was secure. The alarm company was notified. Cleared at 11:18 am.


11/28 – 11:47 am | Zone 4 – Gardner Place

A BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a possibly homeless male walking in the area. The Officer responded and contacted a white male on Sycamore Street at 11:49 am. The subject appeared to be in his 30s, had blonde hair, was wearing a blue hoodie, and was carrying a trash bag with unknown contents. He stated he planned to spend the night in nearby public open space. He was advised not to enter private property. No trespassing reports involving the male were received. The Officer monitored the area for the remainder of the day and shared the subject’s description with all BIS Officers. Cleared at 12:01 pm.
