1/7 — 1:12 am | Zone 6 — Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a vehicle with two occupants parked on private property behind a member’s business, which was closed for the night. The Officer made contact with a white female in her 20s with brown hair and a white male in his 20s–30s with blonde hair, seated in a dark-colored Toyota. The Officer requested that the individuals leave the private property, which they did without issue. The Officer cleared the contact at 1:16 am.

The on-duty BIS Officer observed two coyotes running toward a nearby school area where elementary-aged children were being dropped off. The Officer drove to the school and observed two additional coyotes join the first two. All four were then seen running onto Pine Grove Ave. The Officer patrolled the surrounding area and advised several pedestrians and individuals walking their dogs of the coyote activity. No calls were received by BIS, and the Officer did not locate the coyotes again during the patrol.
1/9 — 3:20 am | Zone 6 — Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
While patrolling, a BIS Officer discovered the rear door of a member’s closed business partially open. No signs of forced entry were observed, and no alarm had been activated. No suspicious vehicles or individuals were seen in the area. The Officer entered the business to conduct a security check and located an Asian male in his 30s–40s with black hair sleeping on the floor. The individual identified himself as the manager/owner of the business. No assistance was requested or required. The Officer secured the door upon exiting and cleared the incident at 3:35 am.
