1/21 – 2:57 am | Zone 6 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
While on patrol, a BIS Officer observed a newer-model Ford flatbed truck with Colorado plates parked in front of a member’s closed business. The Officer contacted a white male in his 30s with blonde hair wearing a white shirt, accompanied by a white female in her 30s with brown hair. Both individuals appeared intoxicated. The male became agitated and verbally hostile toward the Officer and stated they had been drinking at a nearby bar. The Officer returned to the patrol vehicle and notified CSPD of the vehicle and possibly impaired occupants. The Officer cleared the contact at 3:00 am. It is unknown if or when CSPD responded. The Officer returned to the area later that morning and observed the vehicle was no longer present.
1/21 – 10:12 am | Zone 4 – Elm Circle
A BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious vehicle parked behind their residence for several hours. The Officer arrived at 10:17 am and located a red Chevy Malibu sedan with Colorado plates parked as described. The vehicle was unoccupied. The Officer patrolled the surrounding area in an attempt to locate any associated individuals but observed nothing unusual. No additional calls were received regarding the vehicle. The reporting member was contacted and advised of the findings, and informed the Officer would continue to monitor the area. The Officer cleared the call at 10:21 am. The vehicle was noted to have left the area later that day at an unknown time.
1/21 – 6:00 pm | Zone 1 – Cresta Road / Mesa Road
The on-duty BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a non-injury traffic accident at the listed intersection. No vehicle descriptions were provided. The Officer responded to assist if needed. CSPD had been notified and advised an officer would respond. Upon arrival at 6:05 pm, the Officer observed Broadmoor Fire Department personnel on scene checking on the involved drivers before clearing. Both vehicles appeared undrivable. BIS assistance was not required, and the Officer cleared the scene.
1/21 – 9:48 pm | Zone 10 – Leaming Road
A BIS Officer received a call from a member who was not at home, advising that a neighbor reported someone had been at the member’s residence. No description was available. The member stated the call from the neighbor occurred approximately 45 minutes prior. The Officer arrived at 9:52 pm and observed no individuals or vehicles in the area. A full exterior check of the residence was conducted with no signs of attempted entry, damage, or theft observed. All doors and windows were secure. The member was contacted and advised of the findings. The Officer cleared the call at 9:59 pm.
1/21 – 9:57 pm | Zone 2 – Fourth Street
A BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting an unknown individual observed on the member’s exterior camera system walking toward the backyard. The individual activated motion lighting and immediately left the property. Camera footage showed a slim-build individual wearing a red hoodie and white shoes. The Officer arrived at 10:00 pm and observed no individuals in the area. A full exterior check of the residence revealed no signs of attempted entry or criminal activity. The Officer contacted the homeowner and reviewed the camera footage, noting the individual appeared to walk toward the church parking area on Fourth Street. The area was checked with no contact made. No additional calls were received. The Officer continued monitoring the area and cleared the call at 10:30 pm. The description and circumstances were logged for officer awareness and future reference.

A BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a suspicious individual observed on the member’s camera system walking slowly down the driveway and crouching near the garage doors. The Officer arrived at 11:00 pm and contacted the member. Review of the footage showed a slim-build individual wearing a hoodie and a hat or beanie, last seen walking eastbound away from the property. The individual closely resembled the suspicious person recorded earlier that evening at another member’s residence. A full exterior check revealed no signs of attempted entry or criminal activity. The surrounding area was checked with no suspicious vehicles or persons located. No additional calls were received. The Officer cleared the call at 11:20 pm, continued monitoring the area for the remainder of the shift, and logged the incident for officer awareness.

A BIS Officer responded to a call from a member reporting an unknown male carrying a shovel who walked up to the front door and knocked. Video footage showed a white male believed to be in his late teens or early 20s wearing black pants, a black jacket, white shoes, and a black balaclava covering his head. The individual walked up snow-covered stairs and knocked on the front door. The Officer arrived at 4:24 pm and did not locate anyone matching the description. Footprints consistent with the individual were observed in the snow leading to the front door, with no other footprints noted around the residence. No signs of attempted entry or criminal activity were observed. No additional calls were received. The Officer cleared the call at 4:30 pm and monitored the area for the remainder of the shift with no further contact.
