Officer Notes 4/1/24 to 4/7/24

4/1…10:03 am…Zone 5…Sierra Vista Drive: Member called about a suspicious male ringing the doorbell and loitering in the front yard, no description given. Male went back to a small pickup with CO plates parked on the street. BIS officer arrived at 10:07 am and contacted two males at the white truck, now parked at a different house. HM short with a heavy build confirmed it was him and he was at the wrong house before. They were doing landscaping at the house next door to the RP’s house. Member was called back and informed the male went to the wrong house.

 

4/2…8:56 am…Zone 8…Cheyenne Mtn Blvd/Marland Road: Received a call about a suspicious male entering Pourtales Park. Described as a WM, tall with a thin build wearing all black with a large backpack. The BIS officer arrived at 9:00 am, checking the perimeter of the park with no contact. Officer walked inside the park as well with no contact. Unable to locate the male in the area. Received another call about this same male at 3:08 pm near Pourtales Park again. BIS officer arrived in the area at 3:10 pm, male was located and contacted. Spoke with him for several minutes and found out he lives in the area and was performing his exercises by walking around the park.

 

4/3…12:33 pm…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave/Berthe Circle: Member called about a grey Honda HRV with CO plates parked on the street in front their house. Vehicle was parked for about an hour and a half per the RP. At one point a red PT Cruiser with CO plates pulled up to the HRV and talked to the occupants before parking at Berthe Circle and Lake Ave. The BIS officer arrived at 12:35 pm and found the HRV was occupied by 3 HM’s and the PT Cruiser by 1 HM. As the officer drove by the PT Cruiser the driver turned around and parked by the construction vehicles at a house on Berthe Circle. While writing down the descriptions of the vehicles and occupants the RP came outside and contacted the males in the HRV. Confirmed they were workers at the construction site. Clear the area at 12:50 pm.

 

4/3…3:27 pm…Zone 9…South Club Drive/Marland Road South: BIS member called about a suspicious vehicle in the area, black GMC Yukon with Texas plates with family stickers on the back. RP stated they saw this same vehicle in November. Officer arrived in the area at 3:31 pm, checked the streets in the area with no contact.  RP was called back.  Clear the area at 3:39 pm.

 

4/4…9:44 am…Zone 5…Mayfield Lane: Received an alarm call from ADT coming from the front door and living room motion. The BIS officer arrived at 9:48 am and heard the alarm. An older model red Toyota Corolla with CO plates was parked in front of the house. Contact was made with the housekeeper who stated she entered the wrong alarm code. The BIS officer contacted the homeowner to confirm the presence of the housekeeper and then entered the correct alarm code. Clear the area at 9:58 am.

 

4/5…8:42 am…Zone 8…Marland Road: Received a call about a suspicious male on a member’s property. Described as a WM 5’6”-5”8” tall wearing a black sweater, jeans and a camo type ballcap carrying deer antlers. Member contacted the male asking what he was doing. Male stated he was looking for more deer antlers. He was told he was on private property and needed to leave but the male argued with member that it was city property.  He continued walking further onto the property in the direction of Broadmoor Valley Road. The BIS officer arrived at 8:55 am and checked the property around Marland Road. Also checked the area around Broadmoor Valley Road and Hidden Creek Drive but was unable to locate the male.

4/7…1:27 am…Zone 1…Elm Ave: Received a call from a member of a suspicious vehicle parked across the street from her house. Vehicle was parked with lights on and vehicle running. The BIS officer arrived at 1:34 am and found a red KIA Sportage with CO plates. Occupied by a WF 40s 5’8-5’10” tall 130 lbs. with blonde hair sleeping in the vehicle. Female was contacted and had fallen asleep watching a video on her phone. She had been working on putting up exhibits for the space symposium and was waiting for a friend to finish working. Called the member back and let her know what she was doing and that everything was okay. Clear the area at 1:47 am.
