2/26…2:01pm…Zone 8…Pourtales Road…Member called to report of two suspicious vehicles parked on the street. The vehicles were described as a black Ford F150 with CO plates and a silver Honda CRV with CO plates. Both vehicles were unoccupied. The officer parked and observed the vehicles for an extended period and did not see anything unusual. No one came back to the vehicles. Logged information on the vehicles for future reference if needed and monitored area remainder of the shift.
2/27…1:23pm…Zone 7…Carriage Manor Point…Received a fire alarm at a member’s residence. The BIS officer arrived at 1:25 pm and contacted construction workers inside the house. Residence was thoroughly checked inside and out. The alarm was activated by dust, no fire found. Broadmoor Fire Dept arrived at 1:30 pm who examined the premises as well and advised all was secure and to stand down. The alarms were reset.
2/28…1:55pm…Zone 1…Mesa Ave…Member reported two suspicious vehicles and individual’s unknown to them on the street outside their residence. The BIS officer arrived in the area at 1:59 pm and contacted the member. The vehicles were described as having contractor’s company markings on the sides. The vehicles were gone from the area when the officer arrived, but the officer called the contractor (who is an HVAC contractor) and verified they had two vehicles in the area with several workers. The member was informed that the vehicles belonged to a legit company. The BIS officer cleared the area at 2:20 pm.
2/29…2:17pm…Zone 8…Marland Rd…Received call from alarm company about a member’s house alarm activated. BIS officer arrived at 2:23pm and inspected the property. No sign of forced entry. The BIS officer contacted the alarm company and the owner.
2/29…4:00pm…Zone 6…Briarcrest…Alarm company contacted BIS officer concerning a motion alarm active in a member’s residence. The BIS officer arrived at 4:05pm and conducted an inspection of the exterior of the residence. Through one of the windows, the officer observed a pet dog inside. No sign of forced entry. Reported findings to the alarm company who contacted the member.

3/2…6:12 pm…Zone 7…Lake Ave…Received a report from a member of a homeless male walking west on Lake Ave. Described as a white male wearing a red jacket with a beard and a black reflective backpack. Officer arrived at 6:15pm and checked the area thoroughly but was unable to locate the male. No other calls were received, and area was monitored throughout shift.
