8/1
1:15 pm, Zone 10, Penrose Blvd. We received a call from a member regarding a female in her 70’s wearing pink/purple t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. The female did not know her address and appeared to be somewhat disoriented. A BIS officer arrived at approximately 1:26 pm. CSPD was called as well and arrived shortly after BIS. CSPD was able to determine the female's identity and contact her family, who arrived at approximately 2 pm and took her home. BIS stood by and assisted CSPD as needed. BIS cleared scene when the female's family arrived.
6:26 pm, Zone 5, Sierra Vista Drive. A member reported a suspicious vehicle parked across the street from the member's house. A silver Ford F-150 with CO plates had been parked for about 45 minutes. A BIS officer arrived in the area at approximately 6:40 pm and found a vehicle that was unoccupied, legally parked, and with nothing unusual seen and with no one seen in the area. The member was contacted and assured we would keep checking the area. BIS monitored the vehicle throughout the evening, until it left the area later that night.

6:20 pm, Zone 2, Maple Ave. A member away from home reported people at the front door and a black SUV caught on camera that should not be there. A BIS officer arrived at 6:24 pm and found no individuals or vehicles on the property, noted that all doors and windows of the house were secure, and no signs of forced entry. The BIS Officer called the member back who then shared the doorbell camera video with the Officer.
The video showed there was a male in his 30s wearing blue jean shorts, a white t-shirt, black tennis shoes, and a black ball cap. The male walked up to the front door talking on a cell phone, rang the doorbell, then waved and appeared to yell to someone in Spanish. The male was overheard on video stating something about needing a key and walked toward a gate to the yard. The area was checked and no one was seen in the area matching the description. The BIS Officer monitored the residence the remainder of the night. No further incidents or contact were made with the suspicious person.
