Shelter in Place Issued for 200 Block of Beaver Court

Update: The shelter in place alert has been fully lifted.


Please be aware that a shelter in place has been issued for the 200 block of Beaver Court (near 8th Street and Cheyenne Blvd.) Parts of the shelter in place impact the BIS service area. Residents in this area received the following notice around 7:45am MT on May 30th, 2023: "This is the Colorado Springs Police Department with an emergency message. Today is 05-30-2023. There is police activity related to a barricaded suspect in the area of 200 Beaver Ct. You are asked to stay indoors; please lock and stay away from windows and doors. Please stay out of the immediate area until further notice. CSPD will send an all clear message when appropriate."
