3/30 – 11:52 am | Zone 8 – Westgate Road
BIS Officer received a call from Advanced Alarm Company regarding a master bedroom/den glass break alarm activation at a member’s residence. The Officer arrived at 11:58 am and noted that the alarm was not audible and there were no vehicles or individuals seen in the area. A complete check of the exterior of the residence was conducted with no signs of forced entry or other indicators of possible criminal activity. All doors and windows were intact and secure. The Officer followed up with Advanced Alarm and was informed by the alarm company that they had been in contact with the homeowners. The homeowners had informed Advanced Alarm that everything was okay at the residence. Officer cleared the call at 12:08 pm.

4/3 – 7:05 pm | Zone 7 – Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
Upon returning to the BIS office at 7:20 pm the on-duty Officer discovered a voice message from a member that was recorded on the office telephone number regarding a homeless appearing male across the street from Broadmoor Elementary School. The member was called back by the Officer at 7:21 pm and a detailed description of the suspicious male was provided. The homeless appearing male was partially described as having wrapped himself in several blankets and was also carrying a duffle bag. The Officer arrived in the area where the male was last seen at 7:40 pm but the suspicious male was not located. The Officer checked numerous streets in the area but no one matching the description was observed. BIS did not receive any other calls regarding the suspicious, possibly homeless male. Officer cleared the call at 7:51 pm but continued to monitor the area the remainder of the night in an attempt to locate the suspicious male.
4/4 – 10:24 pm | Zone 1 – Ridgeway Ave
A BIS Officer received a call from a member about two males ringing the member's doorbell. The reporting member stated that they could not see the two males clearly on the member's doorbell camera. The BIS Officer immediately responded and arrived at 10:28 pm. The BIS Officer discovered two Officers from CSPD at Highland Way and Ridgeway Ave who advised they had received a disturbance call for a residence on Highland Way, which had the same number address as the BIS member's residence on Ridgeway Ave. The CSPD Officers reported that GPS led the officers to the wrong house on Ridgeway Ave. and it was they who were observed by the BIS member on the doorbell camera. Further, the CSPD Officers stated they did not find any disturbance or anything suspicious relating to a disturbance in the area. The BIS Officer followed up with the member by personally contacting them at their residence. The BIS Officer explained what had happened and why the CSPD Officers were ringing the member's doorbell. All was well, however. Officer cleared the call at 10:54 pm.
