1/13…10:24 am…Zone 4..Sycamore Street: Received a call from a BIS member regarding a white/gray VW bug doing donuts in the roadway. BIS officer arrived at 10:29 am and observed one white VW bug and a yellow VW bug driving West on Sycamore Street. Neither vehicle was observed driving recklessly and both vehicles left the area traveling east on Lake Avenue.

 

1/14…7:40 pm…Zone 1…Mayhurst Ave: Received a call from a BIS member advising of a traffic accident involving an Amazon vehicle and a resident’s vehicle. CSPD was notified and was on scene shortly after the accident. CSPD blocked the road until vehicles could be removed.  Plow truck from city streets department was on scene at 9:58 pm to sand the street.

1/17…5:20 pm…Zone 5…El Encanto Drive: BIS member called about a suspicious male walking down the driveway. Described as a BM 6’ tall wearing dark clothing and white shoes. The BIS officer arrived at 5:26 pm checking numerous streets with no contact. No one seen in the area matching the description given and no other calls were received.

 

1/18…8:53 pm…Zone 10…Leaming Road: Received a call from ADT security concerning a low temperature alarm at a BIS member’s residence. The BIS officer arrived at 9:09 pm and entered the house and found the temperature was 35 degrees. The homeowner was contacted and requested the officer to call the plumbing company she has used in the past. The plumber arrived at 1:16 am and found there was a part that was not working. Part was replaced and numerous pipes were found to have frozen. City utilities arrived at 3:58 am and turned the water off to the house. Plumber stayed on the property to thaw out and repair pipes.  Officer cleared at 4:19 am.
